Warning regarding scam letters
A number of Danske Bank customers have today received a phishing e-mail with letter titled maybe "Important information about your account security - Action required for," and they are sent on behalf of Danske Security Team.
The bank asks all clients who have received this e-mail to ignore it and not to click on the link.
This letter is not sent by Danske Bank. The letter asks the customer to click on a link, as a result opens webpage with the Danske Bank logo, where customer is asked to enter the Internet Bank username and pasword in addition to the payment card details.
Customers who are concerned that they may have entered their Internet bank access details and bankcard details on this false website should immediately call the Danske Bank contact centre on 67 959 599 or close the bank card and change the password of the Internet Bank.
In order to access the Internet bank safely, we always recommend opening the bank’s webpage at www.danskebank.lv in a separate browser. Also, remain vigilant and never share your Internet bank username or passwords with anybody.
